Anne + Nsikan – Leeds Town Hall Wedding

Anne & Nsikan are my last wedding of 2010 and they opted for a snowy but beautiful day at Leeds Town Hall for their special day. I was on hand for the day with my other half, Lianne, manning camera two.

Let’s set the scene for this gorgeous day…

The ceremony was an emotional one. But boy did these guys bring some colour to a cold blue day. I’m liking purple as a winter wedding colour choice!

Just Married!

We all braved the outdoors for some group shots on the town hall steps. It’s hard to take a bad photo here, it’s just so grand!

And everyone made the short walk to St Anne’s Cathedral for Mass. Not being Catholic myself, I had never been in the Cathedral but it’s a beautiful building. It’s got all the elements of traditional church architecture with an interior skin of modern lines and clean white plaster. We were given full reign of the Cathedral for photos after Mass so I went for the steps up to the altar, obviously!

Emma + Andy – East Keswick Wedding

Well boys and girls, this is wedding numero uno and I had a lot of fun shooting it as the day was full of fun little details that made it a really unique wedding. I’ll get the ball rolling with lots of shots and less chat – I’m afraid I’m going to gush from this point on so expect a deluge of photos…

Preparations.

Onto the ceremony which was in a beautiful church in Bardsey. How gorgeous does Emma look!? Andy and the gents looked sharp in their Ray-Ban + black suit with braces combo, too. They all had black and white Converse on… loving the special touches!

Onto the big red London bus and off to the reception with wellie wanging, pub quiz, bake-offs and all sorts of fun things. The day was rounded off with Rockaoke which was new to me!

All in all, a really fun, enjoyable day and I’m really hoping I get more of these off-beat weddings.

“James, you were a joy to work with! Creative, professional and organised, you made sure we got exactly the right shots we wanted and we couldn’t be happier with the results! You’re more than just a standard wedding photographer – you have a really creative eye, so we felt we got something a little bit special!” – Emma & Andy
