We shot Jen & Gavin at Leeds University very early one morning (6.15am to be precise) to get some nice, modern yet vintagey portraits of the two of them. We use VSCO as a starting point for editing all our images – its a great quality set of presets that emulate real film stocks from Kodak, Fuji and Ilford… until now. They just released a new set of film stocks of ‘instant films’ that emulate Polaroid style photos – the ones you used to shake about, stick in your pocket, blow on, cram into your armpit etc. – all these different bodily nooks and crannies have been recreated (metaphorically) with great attention to detail in terms of warmth and coldness of developing photos and the results are a massive selection of vintage inspired tones with that instant feel.
This is the ‘new vintage’ look and we’re really glad we’ve got it for you.
Because we edit all of our images ourselves and give each shoot individual attention and consideration to the colour palette of your day, to the lighting, to the style or theme we can choose which way to take your photos when editing them. We love the new VSCO instant films for vintage weddings and portrait shoots and we’re sure you’re going to love it too.
