Welcome to Sarah & Michael’s wedding at Dunedin Country House, Patrington… you’re going to love it! They got married on a Christmasy and cold winters day, perfect weather for Michael’s tweed suit and fluffy wedding boleros all round. We met them in their village of Roos where all the fervor of morning preparations was building into excitement. Sarah’s dad’s two vintage cars were being warmed up and coaxed into life as we arrived before one headed around the corner for Michael to drive himself to church. What actually transpired was all the groomsmen pushing it an attempt to get it going, including a local jogger! Needless to say, that’s the fun of vintage cars.
Sarah’s car fared much better and she arrived to church bang on time. After their ceremony, their two families officially became one as they walked back up the church lane all hand in hand. This family clearly loves each other to bits! A short journey to Dunedin was met by mulled wine and much needed cosy warmth! Just as the golden hour arrived and the sun set we nipped back out for a few gorgeously lit portraits in the fresh air.
Whilst everyone tucked into their meal, we have to say Dunedin had the best food we’ve had all year, and we’re not even being remotely hyperbolic. It was absolutely fantastic. If you’re having a wedding in East Yorkshire and are a bit of a foodie, you won’t go far wrong with Dunedin!
After the speeches, and with aroma of coffee in the air people gathered together and chatted in the friendly setting of Dunedin. Then it was a whole family dance on the dancefloor which took them away into the night. Thanks for inviting us to be a part of it all Sarah and Michael, it truly was our pleasure.
