Emma and Pete are, like over 50% of our couples, a couple of designers. We always knew that their day was going to have some fantastic design elements and we wanted to bring the photography to them with some real design ideas that when they got their photographs back from us they’d be totally ‘them’!
We spent the morning prepping before heading to Merchant Adventurers Hall for their wedding. We took them for round one of portraits which included a very quick pitstop in a bookshop which was an absolute joy to do wedding portraits in, before heading back to their meal and speeches. Their tables were appropriately named with ‘Yorkshire dialect and phrases’ if you’re struggling with them a little! We then rounded off the day with a final second portrait session in front of a huge hand-painted sign with glorious type that we’d been out and hunted for whilst everyone was eating their meals, just to please Pete, the typographer of the two.
It was a joy to give Emma and Pete photos with meaning and we love that they were willing to brave the bus-stop crowds for the photo…it was so worth it! 🙂
