We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Priory Cottages is just like a second home to us. And the same can be said for Felicity’s family, too. Felicity’s mum stays in the cottages regularly for a relax and unwind and it sets the tone wonderfully for Felicity & John’s wedding, perfectly relaxed.
With Felicity and her fantastic posse of bridemaids getting ready in the cottages and John readying himself nearby in Wetherby, the morning couldn’t have got off to a more relaxed atmosphere. A delivery of flowers from the ever-talented Paperwhite Flowers, quickly made it all feel a bit more real! As Felicity slipped into her dress, and all the gasping at how amazing she looked was over, it was straight onto the bus to meet John at the altar at St Edward’s Church in Clifford. We’ve shot here before and absolutely loved it as a church. It offers absolute freedom for photography and really opens up what we can do but being even more unobtrusive than we normally are as we’re always hidden.
After the vows were made, and a strut back down the aisle, it was back onto the vintage buses to make the short trip back to The Priory. The heavens had opened but Felicity was keen to pull on her wellies, pop up the umbrella and just go for it! I think she may have even been a little bit glad for the rain just so she could wear her bright red wellies! It works for us!
The evening rolled from meal into speeches and not punctuated with a cake cut, but more a macaroon chomp! Those macaroons looked amazing! The Little Big Band took us into the night with some upbeat crooning.
So there we have it, a perfect day in our home away from home. If your in need of a Priory Cottages wedding photographer, use the contact form above and get in touch – we’d love to be involved!
