Goldsborough Hall, there’s few venues quite like it. It’s so grand, beautifully detailed and with lush grounds. Add to that the light, bright contemporary conservatory for the reception and it’s a stunning setting for any wedding. Jamie & Marie’s Goldsborough Hall Wedding was an Anglo-German wedding with a focus on family and a bird theme.
Frome lovebirds on Jamie’s tie, bird names for the tables (in both English and German) to Freebird for their first dance – yes, all 9 minutes of it! – it was a fun theme that subtly ran throughout their glorious autumn wedding day. Speaking of which, the gardens were beautiful in their golden hues and striking reds which we absolutely had to take advantage of, especially when the low sun shone through the trees.
As both sides of their family came together, Jamie & Marie’s wedding was made extra special with the addition of a baptism for both their young children at St Mary’s Church next door. With hymns also sung in German, it was a uniting feeling full of celebration and joy. The rest of the day eased into a more relaxed affair, with drinks and canapes followed by each side trying their best at a second language in the speeches. And when Freebird came on it was all air-guitar solos and good times.
