Phill & Kate asked us to shoot their Lartington Hall wedding – a new venue for us – in County Durham. It’s a very grand place, replete with columns, huge bedrooms, and wonderful gardens. Oh we do love a good garden! With a chapel on site but having invited so many guests, Phill & Kate expanded into the garden with a marquee and turned it into their own church. With a full band, they raised the roof with music, singing and praise. We’re sure Phill won’t mind us mentioning that there was a few tears as Kate’s dad walked her down the aisle.
After what may be the most memorable ceremony ever, Phill & Kate literally danced down the aisle and didn’t stop. Conga lines ensued! Everyone got involved with singing and playing and boy, was everyone just having a good time! Making time for some photos in the grounds we were spoiled for choice on backdrops. If you know anything about us, you’ll know we like a spot of gardening (if not, have you even read our about us page!?) and Lartington Hall seamlessly blends from manicured lawns to rustic wild flowers and into woodland. It’s gorgeous and we enjoyed every minute of shooting Phill & Kate in such a beautiful setting.
After drinks and nibbles it was inside into the grand, pillared room for speeches – oh so cringeworthy speeches, hilariously compared by Phill’s cousin Kat. The evening relaxed into drinks and conversation before amping right back up for the first dance. Thanks so much for having us be a part of your wedding – you guys rocked it!
