Like all our couples, Joy and Richard didn’t want a stuffy traditional wedding. They opted for an Easter Sunday wedding at Rudding Park near Harrogate (which also happened to be April Fool’s Day, just emphasising their sense of humour!) and they just ran with the Easter theme! Leading with the combination of a white rose for Yorkshire and a thistle for Scotland, they added in colourful pastels. Hens, eggs and bunnies were everywhere brightening up the room too just to complete the theme.
Richard’s lifelong friend, Mash led the majority of the proceedings, crooning for the happy couple as they came down the aisle, delivering his speech as co-bestman and being generous with the banter. As always, we kept things as informal as possible for portraits, opting for a quick stroll (with pint in hand!) around the grounds always with an emphasis on a laugh and a giggle over posing. The beauty of Rudding Park is just how many nooks and crannies it has to steal away but there’s always a photobomber (Mash!!).
Joy and Richard led the evening with their awesome dancefloor action which we joined in with for a while before leaving them to drink and be merry into the night.
