The Priests House is an increasingly popular wedding venue for us to photograph at, and with good reason… it’s beautiful! In the Bolton Abbey estate, amongst many other popular venues owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, the Priests House is a wonderful old chapel converted into an intimate wedding venue. And so it’s no wonder that Sharon & Karl fell in love with the venue for their own wedding.
Sharon got ready at home before enjoying a pre-ceremony reception with all her neighbours in the foyer which was a lovely touch (and we even managed to catch up with past bride Julia, who also got married at The Priests House!). Prosecco and nibbles consumed, it was off to get married! As Karl ushered his friends and family into the Old Chapel, and the piano played, Sharon and her brother waited nervously outside but were greeted by Karl’s beaming smile as they walked down the aisle.
After a few portraits in the stunning countryside and dodging the rain, it was off down the road to the Devonshire Arms for drinks and celebrations. There was more laughter, dancing and funny stories to complete Sharon & Karl’s relaxed wedding in the Yorkshire countryside. What better way to enjoy your day!
